@Holly – your body fat percentage sounds fine to me. I would consider it leaner than average, but not super lean. With that said, I’m a big fan of strength training for a ton of reasons and I think it should form the foundation of an effective exercise plan for not only fat loss, but overall health and well-being. FYI, the cardiovascular system supports the muscular system, not the other way around. I was going to say — when I used to run cross country in high school I was 8-9 and my goal right now is to hit 10 and stay there. The difference, or the difficulty, with the above 6-7% picture is that guy is a beast. A lot of runners get that low, especially with cross training, lifting, etc, but were never that huge.
