If not, when do you think a person “crosses over” to a body comp that has negative health impacts? I mean, clearly one has to have some fat or you’ll die. @Nance Lee – Happy to hear you are back in action and working out! I think anything is possible. The one challenge is that some form of resistance training would be very helpful for you to get a leaner body, because if you diet and just do Yoga, my guess is you may lose a bunch of muscle/functional strength. I understand you may have put on a little muscle, but it’s very hard to keep as you diet down without resistance training (even swimming sprints could at least provide some more resistance). I think 24-5% could definitely be possible, with a lower body fat than that taking a tremendous amount of time and effort. As I mention in the article, the body fat algorithm results shift up as you age so even if you keep the same subcutaneous amount of fat, the algorithm will show you as increasing body fat percentage over time..
